TMS

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is a non-invasive form of brain stimulation (NIBS) that has been researched extensively since the 1980s.

TMS received FDA approval for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder in 2008, and today the treatment is covered by nearly all health insurances. Recently, it has gained approval for the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Smoking Cessation. Research demonstrates promising results in across many psychiatric disorders, with many clinical trials currently underway.
